More than meets the eye and more than meets the typical trading card. The Transformers 40th Anniversary Metal Collector's Trading Card Sets from Dynamite Entertainment bring Generation 1's most iconic characters to life on actual metal foil card stock, simulating the living metal of Cybertron itself for the first time in trading card history.
110 cards. One legendary franchise. Both configurations pull from the same set:
• All 110 base cards printed on premium metal foil stock across both Autobot and Decepticon foil packs
• 40 one-of-one cards - each globally unique and never to be replicated
• 18 solid "living" metal cards - 9 gold and 9 silver
• 8 micro etch metal cards with a premium micro-etched finish
• 16 creator signed cards from Bob Budiansky, Simon Furman, Ralph Macchio and Jim Salicrup - the writers and editors who created the Transformers comic book mythology
• Signed and numbered parallel cards across both sets
Timed to the 40th anniversary of The Transformers: The Movie, returning to theaters nationwide in 4K September 17-21, 2026, with a new live-action film in development. 2026 is one of the biggest Transformers collecting moments in a decade.
